KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 27

The tour 'Aba Haschha America' has successully concluded with a group of Nepali comedians brigning laughter to audiences across various cities in the United States.

The tour organised by Fly Nepa and coordinated by Binod Adhikari, featured a lineup of commedian including Sandeep Chhetri, Suman Karki, Bharatmani Paudel, Kailash Karki, Suman Koirala, Maxim Gaudel (Vishnu Prasad Gaudel), Sajan Shrestha, and Santosh Thapa.

This comedy extravaganza spanned spanned 14 cities, captivating audiences from North Carolina to Ohio, with performances held from January 12 to February 24.

Despite the challenges posed by winter weather, the comedians delivered side splitting routines, earning accolades not only from audiences but also from the American government, according to the statement issued by the organizers.

Binod Adhikari, also known for directing the documentary 'Everestman' based on the life of record holder Everesteer Kamirita Sherpa, expressed his delight at bridging cultures through humor. "This program has connected the Nepalis in the US with the home country. It has fulfilled the freshness we need after the Covid pandemic."

The program also received recognition from US government agencies in New York, Virginia, Baltimore and Maryland, further solidifying its significance as a cultural exchange initiative, organizers added.

Adhikari emphasized the importance of such endeavors in fostering connections between Nepal and its diaspora around the world.
