HETAUNDA: Police in Makawanpur district have nabbed an absconding suspect of a 10-month-old bank robbery case, from Basamadi, Hetaunda-28 on Sunday.

A group of people along with Santa Kumar Thing (36) had robbed Senior Assistant of Infrastructure Bank, Ujjwal Rijal, of Rs 2 million on November 18, 2014.

Rijal was attacked, outside Chandrapur-based SBI Bank in Rautahat while he was on the way to transfer the money to his bank.

The attackers, riding on the bike, had shot the guard, Tej Bahadur Karki, which left him severely injured.

DSP Sishu Sharma of District Police Office said Thing has been sent to Regional Police Office of Chandrapur, Rautahat for further investigation.
