Police have yet to arrest the persons behind the thrashing of a worker at Khimti-II Hydropower Project site on the border between Dolakha and Ramechhap. A group of four persons from Ramechhap's Gokulganga Rural Municipality-2 had launched a serious attack on Shanta Bahadur Jirel of Dolakha's Jiri Municipality-5.

According to Area Police Office Jiri's inspector Bishnu Khadka, Jirel was seriously injured in the attack and referred to Kathmandu for further treatment following his firstaid treatment in Jiri Hospital. "We've filed complaints at Police Post in Ramechhap and Area Police Office of Jiri, the assaulters are yet to be arrested," said the victim's kin Kumar Jirel.

On his part, District Police Office, Ramechhap, Chief DSP Raj Kumar Thing said investigation was under way.

Meanwhile, the victims have also accused the police of showing reluctance to arrest the attackers. Jirel has received serious injuries on his head and face from the attack and is undergoing treatment in Sina

mangal, Kathmandu.
