KATHMANDU:

The Nepali Army Headquarters has written to the Ministry of Defence (MoD) recommending action against the Acting Chief of the army’s Western Division, Brg Gen Dilip Sumsher Jung Bahadur Rana, for his controversial remark. “Nepali Army has taken the issue seriously and has initiated a process to take action against Brg Gen Rana,” army spokesperson Brg Gen Ananta Bahadur Thebe said on Thursday.

Brg Gen Rana had on Monday said there was a possibility of the army being mobilised to quell the Terai unrest.
