Action sought against king

Gorkha, January 25:

Chairperson of the Human Rights and Peace Society Pursottam Dahal today demanded that action be taken against king Gyanendra by adopting a legal process.

Speaking at a gathering organised by the Gorkha chapter of Human Right and Peace Society in Gorkha today, a member of the civil society, Krishna

Pahadi, said, “Concerns of the Madhesi community were not addressed for long. Regressive forces might become active if concerns of the people are not addressed.”

“We won’t contest elections. We are struggling to safeguard people’s rights,” Pahadi said. He warned that people will not support eight parties if they protect the monarchy.
