Kathmandu, February 7:

The Asian Development Bank has donated $18.1 million to the Commercial Agriculture Development Fund set up to run Commercial Agriculture Development Programme (CADP) in eastern region.

A press release issued by CADP yesterday stated that Commercial Agriculture Alliance (CAA), a NGO, would use the fund in coordination with the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, DDCs and different other organisations concerned. CAA would be providing the fund to farmer groups, cooperatives and businessmen for the promotion of agricultural products to help reduce poverty.
