Deepak Chhetri of Dharan, addicted to using marijuana has set fire to a thirteen-year old temple when he could not obtain marijuana he asked for.

Priest at the temple, Jagmohan Giri claims that Chhetri escaped after setting fire to the temple when he refused to give marijuana to Chhetri, a regular customer of the drug.

According to Giri, the fire has burnt a sum of Rs 16,000 and has incurred damage to various document kept in the temple.
