Address Madhesh issue, says Rana

Bardiya, July 14:

Central president of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Pashupati Shumsher Rana has said the government should address the agitation in the Madhesh at the earliest.

Speaking at the inauguration of the fourth district convention of RPP Bardiya District unit here today, the RPP central president expressed the view that the eastern part of Madhesh was still burning since the ‘just demands’ of the Madheshi people were not fulfilled through talks.

He pointed out the need for making amendment to the Interim Constitution for the third time to address the Madheshi problem.

Terming the Constituent Assembly election as an important event in the history of the country, he called on the government to create a fear-free environment for that purpose.

He said it would be a misfortune if the election is not free and fair.
