Adhikari murder case statements recorded

The process of recording statements of witnesses in the murder of Krishna Prasad Adhikari of Fujel, in Gorkha, by the Maoists during the Maoist insurgency concluded today.

District Court Chitwan recorded the statements of 21 witnesses today.

Of them, 14 are from the plaintiff’s side while seven are from the defendants’ side. The statements of eight persons were recorded yesterday.

As many as 41 persons had registered their names for recording their statements.

As the statements of some defendants were the same, only the statements of 29 people were counted.

Witnesses from Gorkha’s Fujel and Chitwan’s Ratnanagar, among others, were present at the court to record their statements. With the conclusion of the recording of statements, the case will be sent to Judge Basudev Paudel.

Krishna Prasad Adhikari was abducted and murdered by Maoist cadres in Ratnanagar of Chitwan in 2004.

Adhikari had been to Chitwan to see his grandfather in Jayamangala then.
