‘Ethnic liberation part of class struggle’

Senior central vice-president of Janamorcha Nepal, Rashmi Raj Nepal, today said that the ethnic liberation struggle was an inseparable part of the class liberation movement. Speaking at the third district conference of the All Nepal Indigenous Nationalities, Dang, affiliated to the Nepal Communist Party (Unity Centre-Masal), Nepali said: “The conference of indigenous nationalities is working as a bridge to bring about ethnic liberation and help indigenous communities to be part of the social mainstream.”
On the occasion, central vice-chairman of the All Nepal Indigenous Nationalities, Hanuman Chaudhary, said indigenous nationalities need to be cautious about political, social, economic, linguistic and cultural rights. He added that the indigenous nationalities who are the bulk of the population of Nepal should be represented proportionately in all spheres, including policy-making.
The programme was attended by Janamorcha Nepal adviser Suresh Thapa, party’s Dang president Bharat Bhandari, central member of All Nepal Trade Union Federation Kashiram Nepali, district vice-chairman of the federation Buddhi Ram Khadka, secretary of the All Nepal Students’ Organisation (Unified) Dhruv Gorathoki, district adviser Bhanu GM, FNJ’s central council member Udaya GM and vice-chairman of the All Nepal People’s Youth Association Sundar Prasad Chaudhary.
