Kathmandu, May 30:

Acting head of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights Nepal (OHCHR), David Johnson, today called on the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to monitor the truce and continue to consolidate the peace-building process.

Johnson was speaking at a function organised to mark the sixth anniversary of the NHRC. Johnson said the OHCHR will continue supporting the NHRC.

Minister for Physical Planning and Works Gopal Man Shrestha said the government was committed to working together with the NHRC.
