‘UK watching Nepal’

Allan Percivawal, the second secretary at the British Embassy, said today the British government is closely monitoring the situation in Nepal after the February 1 royal takeover .
“Britain had been providing non-lethal military equipment to Nepal, but after the royal takeover this has stopped in favour of democratic processes. However, development aid by the British government will not be stopped,” said Allan. Allan, chief of the political department of British Embassy, said Britain is a democratic nation and it is in favour of restoration of democracy in Nepal. Allan had reached Dhankuta to study the situation of the district after February 1. He also held talks with local representatives of political parties and security forces of the district.
