Kathmandu, June 30:

In what appears to be an example of inter-species clash among the government authorities, the Office of the Attorney General today boycotted a meeting called by Nepal Law Reform Commission (NLRC). The meeting, which was also attended by persons as important as Chief Justice Govinda Bahadur Shrestha, was called to discuss about the draft bill on Administrative Court Act. "We kept ourselves away from the event as the Attorney General Sushil Kumar Pant had issued a whip to this effect," said a high-ranking official at the Office of the Attorney General. "The chairman of the Nepal Law Reform Commission Niranjan Thapa had invited almost every one except the Attorney General," the source said bringing to light the ego clash between the chiefs of the two prestigious bodies.
