Agitation to continue, say RJP-N leaders

Rajbiraj, June 16

Leaders of Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal said that they would continue their agitation as RJP-N and the government had not yet signed any agreement to postpone the second phase of civic polls in Province 2.

Speaking at a press meet organised at Sahidchowk in Saptari today, RJP-N’s Senior Vice-Chairman Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav said that the government had spread the rumour that RJP-N agreed to postpone the polls in Province 2.

RJP-N General Secretary Manish Kumar Suman said that the big parties and the government had deceived Madhesi people repeatedly. He also threatened to disrupt the civic polls in other provinces.

He said that his party would change the form of its agitation in Province 2 and announce stringent protest programmes in other provinces, too.
