KATHMANDU: Agitators have seized and burnt 65 quintals of firewood in Sarpallo VDC of Mahottari at around 3 am today.

A local businessman Kebal Sah, who was on a tractor (Ja 1 Ta 7125) loaded with the firewood bound to Jaleshwar, had confronted the agitators, the Rastriya Samachar Samiti reported.

The agitators burnt the woods and vandalised the tractor after Sah told them that the woods belonged to police, the RSS quoted DSP Binod Silwal as saying.

Police informed that the woods belonged to the Jaleshwar Prison Office. The Jailer Shovendra Thakur, however, denied the report and said Sah was lying.
