Agreements signed between Nepal and Vietnam

HANOI: Nepal and Vietnam have forged a consensus to strengthen bilateral relations and trade between the two nations.

In course of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, different bilateral agreements have been signed.

Agreement on exemption of visa to diplomatic and official passport bearers, and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the establishment of bilateral consultation mechanism between the two governments were signed.

Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shanker Das Bairagi and representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Ngyen Quoc Dung signed the agreements on behalf of their respective governments.

Similarly, a letter of intent on negotiation on trade and investment framework agreement was signed by Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Kedar Bahadur Adhikari and Deputy Minister of Industry of Viet Nam, Dang Aoang An.

The signing was held in the presence of Prime Ministers of both nations at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi.
