KATHMANDU, JANUARY 18
Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Dr. Beduram Bhusal, has stated that preparations are underway to bring the Agriculture Act soon to resolve problems in the agriculture sector.
Minister Bhusal made this announcement while addressing the agro-biodiversity and indigenous crop exhibition organized by the Second National Agriculture Biodiversity Day and Week Ceremony Committee.
Emphasizing the need to make the country self-dependent through the development and expansion of the agriculture sector for economic transformation, he highlighted the importance of increasing agro production by modernizing the sector with the use of technology.
Minister Bhusal mentioned that the Agriculture Act would play a crucial role in achieving these goals and stressed the importance of preserving different varieties of indigenous crops in the country.
He expressed the view that agro production should be increased by utilizing achievements gained in the fields of agriculture research and agricultural science.
The exhibition showcased traditional types of wooden wares, food crops, fruits, seeds, and other goods.
