BHOJPUR: Minister for Agriculture Hari Bol Gajurel on Sunday said that the agriculture sector was the only means of establishing the nation as an independent and prosperous country.

Speaking at a function on Sunday, Gajurel claimed that the country could not achieve prosperity unless the agriculture sector was developed properly.

He underscored the need of using improved seeds, fertiliser and modern equipment to establish it as a lucrative and business motivated profession.

Gajurel also stressed effective monitoring of hotels and restaurants to maintain quality.

He handed over a green sticker to Biratnagar-based Hotel Pacific for maintaining the basic criteria, which ought to be maintained by hotel operators.
