Dhankuta:

The Dhankuta District Administration Office is providing financial help to conflict-displaced people to return home. According to the DAO, 14 conflict-displaced families were provided Rs 500 per person as travel fare to return home.

The DAO is also providing Rs 2,400 to every displaced person who are below the age of 16 years. Displaced persons are being given Rs 7,500 each for repairing their homes and Rs 20,000 each for building their homes afresh, said CDO Tara Nath Gautam. Gautam said each displaced person would be provided a daily stipend of Rs 60 for the next four months. Personal loans up to Rs 10,000 on an interest-free basis to buy agricultural implements also have been made available to those opting to leave the district headquarters.
