All 4 members of family found dead in Banepa restaurant

KAVRE: All four members of a family have been found dead in their own restaurant in Banepa of Kavre district on Friday evening.

The deceased have been identified as the Gautam Bhojanalaya (restaurant) owner Rajaram Dahal (32), sister Ranjana Dahal (25), father Hari Bhakta Dahal (65) and mother Hari Maya Dahal (60), the permanent residents of Sera in Banepa Municipality-2.

A patrol team from the Area Police Office, Banepa, found all of them dead inside the restaurant yesterday evening, according to police.

The team had entered the restaurant after the partially opened roller shutter gate along with broken glasses littered on the floor aroused suspicion, informed police and added that Salfas poison's bottle was found beside the bodies.

Meanwhile, a team deployed from Kavre District Police Office under the command of  Superintendent of Police Shahakul Thapa has undertaken an investigation into the incident.

The cause of the death would be revealed after postmortem, said SP Thapa adding that the bodies would be sent to the local Scheer Memorial Hospital for postmortem in presence of their relatives.

It has been learnt that Rajaram Dahal had been running the restaurant located on the premises of Banepa Bus Park for six years.
