HETAUDA, AUGUST 10

CPN-Maoist Centre central politburo member Devendra Poudel has said the upcoming electoral alliance will be made by keeping his party's interest in mind.

Speaking at a press meeting organised by Press Centre, Makawanpur, today, the Maoist leader also informed that there were discussions in his party about strategies to make it the largest communist party in the country from the polls.

"There are discussions in the party regarding electoral alliance and how we can make our party the largest political force in the country," Poudel said.

Further, he also clarified there wasn't any possibility as of now of any alliance with CPN-UML and added his party was for contesting the election under the present coalition. He said there were discussions among coalition partners but added no consensus, as rumoured, had been reached so far regarding seat division.

"In fact, we don't enter any alliance for posts," he said.

Poudel, who is also a minister in the present coalition, expressed confidence that the election would take place on the slated date.
