Amargadi locals take to the streets demanding city bus service

Dadeldhura, July 3

Locals of Amargadi Municipality today staged a rally demanding city bus in their local level in Dadeldhura.

Locals from wards 10 and 11 staged the rally saying that they had encountered hardship travelling to the headquarters due to lack of city bus.

Protesting locals picketed the office of Amargadhi Municipality and demanded city bus.

Tara Khakda, a local, complained that locals had been facing hard time getting to Dadeldhura headquarters. “Lack of vehicles has hit people’s movement,” said Khadka.

Another local Gomati Devi Bohora bemoaned that the bus would not stop even if they paid double fare. “We face a hard time when we have to take patients to hospital,” Bohora said.

Meanwhile, locals called off their protest after Mayor Biseswor Prasad Ojha assured that their demand would be addressed.  “Four buses will be enough inside the municipality,” said Mayor Ojha.
