KATHMANDU: An American woman was found dead in a rented room, in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-19 on Thursday.

Police have identified the deceased as 32-year-old Kristina Nikol of US.

Nikol had been living alone in the flat of the house belonging to Ramila Shrestha, in Ishalakh for six months, according to the Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur. She was found lying dead in her bed, said police.

The body of the deceased has been sent to the Maharajgunj-based TU Teaching Hospital for postmortem.

Nothing unusual have been reported, said police.

Meanwhile, the investigating into the case is underway said police.
