ANNISU-R to fight for republic

Kathmandu, September 6:

The fourth plenary meeting of the All Nepal National Independent Students Union- Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) has decided to fight for a republican set-up and proportional election system.

“We have decided to fight for a republic and a fully proportional election system in the CA polls,” said ANNISU-R chief Lek-hnath Neupane, after the the meeting today.

He said the union would begin publicity of their demands from today till September 24. Meanwhile, schools and colleges in the Kathmandu remained closed today at the call of the Higher Secondary Students Welfare Council.

The closure was called to mourn the death of the two students killed in the blast.
