Another high suspension bridge to be constructed in Parbat

PARBAT: Another high suspension bridge is to be constructed in Parbat district. The bridge will link Mudikuwa VDC to the district headquarters Kusmabazaar.

The Muktinath and Geeta Construction Pokhara signed a contract with the bridge construction committee recently. The construction work will begin from the second week of July, according to member of the local users committee Jagat Sapkota.

The 359-meter long bridge with a height of 112 meters is expected to cost Rs. 17.5 million. It will cut down travel time for locals to 10 minutes from the existing one hour. Residents of 22 VDCs in Parbat and 12 VDCs in Baglung will directly benefit from the bridge.
