Ansari's pledge to end impunity

BIRATNAGARl: State Minister for Home Affairs Rijwan Ansari today said that the government would take stern action against those who are involved in criminal activities. "We are preparing to adopt tough measure to check impunity and unlawful activities in the country," he said.

"The criminals have been taking advantage of the country's transitional phase. But, the government will no more tolerate such activities," he said, adding that the government was planning to introduce action plan to ensure peace and security.

"We are ready to quit the government but will not spare the criminals," he promised.

The state minister also added that the culture of bandhs and strikes had been ruining the country's economy.

Minister Ansari also visited the security officials of Morang and Sunsari districts and directed them to adopt all possible measures to track down the criminals.
