KATHMANDU: The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division has sent anti-venom to different Tarai districts.

After the Tarai districts witnessed the shortage of medicine to treat snakebite, the Division sent the anti-venom including other essential medicines, said Director at Division, Dr Baburam Marasini.

A team of health workers led by Dr Marasini has reached Hetaunda Friday. The medicine would be distributed to different parts of Makwanpur and the neighbouring districts.

Similarly, the anti-venom will be sent to other districts including Parsa and Kailali, where the cases of snakebite are high.
