RAMECHHANE, MAY 23

Nepali Congress has warned of action against any party member acting against the interest of the party.

"Any leader or cadre found to be acting against party interest in the recently concluded election will face stern action," said Nepali Congress Ramechhap President Purna Bahadur Tamang, speaking at a press conference held in district headquarters Manthali today.

He also called on the party rank and file to lodge application at the party office within a week against those found working against party interest.

On the occasion, NC Ramechhap President Tamang also extended his gratitude to the general voters in the district for voting the party to the first position in the district.

Congress, in Ramechhap, was the third largest party in the local election five years ago.

Congress Ramechhap district Deputy President Lekh Bahadur Karki also spoke on the occasion and noted that the party was defeated in some local levels due to the party's weakness in effectively managing things.

Nepali Congress has won three local level chiefs, four deputy chiefs, and 24 ward chairs in Ramechhap.
