Apology sought from vandals
Rajbiraj, July 30:
Demanding a public apology from those involved in vandalising MJF’s central office in Kathmandu, four Madhes-based student unions enforced a transport strike on the Mahendra Highway section in Rupani of Saptari district today.
Thousands of passengers have been stranded on the highway due to the strike enforced by the Madhesi Students’ Front, Tarai-Madhes Students’ Front, Students’ Forum and the Nepal Students’ Forum.
DSP Bharat Bahadur Pradhan said 50 students from different parts of the country, who were heading to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences to appear for MBBS entrance exams, have been stranded at Rupani Chowk.
The students’ organisations also obstructed the highway section in Saptari’s Kanchanpur.
