Voting in the House of Representatives (HoR) Election–2026 has been underway across the country since 7:00 am today, with around 18 percent voter turnout recorded by 12:00 noon.
According to the Election Commission (EC), a total of 3,163,736 votes had been cast by midday.
EC Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said the commission's reporting system showed that approximately 18 percent of eligible voters had exercised their franchise by noon.
Voting is taking place enthusiastically at polling centres across the country, the commission said.
