Rautahat District Police Office today admitted that an innocent journalist had been nabbed with drug planted on his motorbike.
Police disclosed that a member of Rautahat chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists was involved in the arrest of journalist Mohammad Moji Bullah with drug.
At a press meet organised on the premises of District Police Office today, SP Siddi Bikram Shah said that FNJ Rautahat chapter's Joint-secretary Sanjay Sahani had used police personnel Dhiraj Yadav and Jitesh Kumar Yadav to plant the drug on journalist Moji Bullah's motorbike. Sahani had then called ASI Uday Prasad Yadav and police constable Manoj Sah to arrest the journalist.
Following investigation, constables Dhiraj and Jitesh Kumar were arrested. They were suspended after the investigation found out the truth of their involvement in the incident. At the press meet, journalist Mohammad Moji Ballah and his aide were freed, according to SP Siddi Bikram Shah.
