JANAKPUR: Police on Tuesday arrested the alleged mastermind behind media entrepreneur Arun Singhaniya's murder, Chandra Deep Yadav, six years after the incident.

Yadav, who had been operating criminal activities in Nepal from India since long ago, was arrested with his girl friend Rukmini Devi and brother from Wakil Tole of Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City-2.

It has been learned that a police team under the command of SP Uttam Raj Subedi nabbed them last night.

Police said that they were produced before the Dhanusha District Court today, which remanded them to judicial custody for further investigation.

Singhaniya, who was the chairman of Janakpur Today Communications Group, was shot dead at Shiva Chowk in Janakpur on March 1, 2010.
