KATHMANDU: Chief Justice nominee Deepak Raj Joshee issued a release on Monday saying that media reports that cast doubts on his educational certificate and gave the message that he was told to resign from his post were misleading.

He said these issues were being raised now not only to affect the confirmation hearing of a CJ nominee, but also to attack the independence of the judiciary.
