Attorney General to resign soon
KATHMANDU: Attorney General Raghav Lal Vaidya took leave on Tuesday citing that the changed political situation was not favourable for him to carry out his duty. AG Vaidya was appointed by PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal after the formation of a Maoist-led government some seven months back. Earlier, he was an appellate court judge.
"I will resign after the formation of the new government," a senior official at Office of the Attorney General quoted Vaidya as saying. Vaidya has also delegated all his power to Deputy Attorney General Pushpa Raj Koirala, to be exercised as per Article 135 (6) of the Interim Constitution.
