Australian succumbs to altitude sickness in Solukhumbu
BIRATNAGAR: An Australian national, who was lodging at a hotel in Pheruche, Khumjung-7 of Solukhumbu district, died of altitude sickness today.
Johnes Mauphepaul (49) was staying at the local Madan Earth Hotel, the Biratnagar-based Eastern Regional Police Office in Biratnagar quoted the Lukla Area Police Office as saying.
His body has been kept at Pasang Lhamu Hospital in Lukla, police said.
