Authorities seal dairy in Myagdi for selling expired products

MYAGDI: Authorities have sealed a dairy in Beni of Myagdi district for selling expired packets of milk and curd.

A Market Monitoring Team comprising the representatives of the Ministry of Supplies and local stakeholders on Sunday padlocked the outlet of the Panthi Dairy Industry at the Beni Hospital intersection.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Shobhakhar Pokhrel, the monitoring team had seized more than 1,000 litres of milk and curd from the distribution centre.

Many packets of milk and curd packets did not even mention the expiry dates, informed Ministry's section officer Laxmi Prasad Baskota.
