Autocracy has ended: Gagan

Baglung, May 28:

Former general-secretary of the Nepal Students’ Union Gagan Kumar Thapa said today that the recent agitation was directed not only against the King’s autocracy but also against autocracy of all kinds.

Speaking at an interaction on constitution assembly in the present political context organised at the Mahendra Multiple Campus in Baglung, he said the agitation was directed “against the trend of autocracy”.

Thapa said student leaders should come to the streets if their party leaders make mistakes. Saying that an election to a constituent assembly was a process to draft a new constitution, Thapa said such an election will establish the supremacy of people.
