Ayurveda stressed for overall well-being

KATHMANDU: Various speakers have stressed the need for promoting Ayurveda as an indigenous health treatment method, at an international conference.

At the closing ceremony of International Conference-2018 on Ramban Ayurveda, speakers highlighted the importance of Ayurveda treatment for an overall healthy and happy life.

The programme was jointly organised by Maharshi Vedic Foundation, Maharshi Health Centre Germany, and Herbal Medicine Vidhyapeeth India.

On the occasion, Foundation Chairperson and former Minister of State for Home Affairs, Deepak Prakash Baskota, said that they are providing support to all Ayurveda colleges for the promotion of Ayurveda health science in Nepal.

Chief Executive Officer at Maharshi Ayurveda Health Centre Germany, Loafer Pirka, said that medicines made out of herbal plants in the himalayan country Nepal are of higher quality.

International Director of World Peace Nation Nepal, Kingsley Brooks, said some US organisations and others have been providing support in the campaign to materialise the idea of Maharshi Yogi to make Nepal a hub of Vedic knowledge.

Some 20 working papers on Ayurveda were presented in the two-day conference. As many as 58 Ayurveda experts from seven countries participated in the conference.
