BAGLUNG: CPN-UML has emerged victorious in Dhorpatan Municipality of Baglung district.

CPN-UML candidate Dev Kumar Nepali has secured the post of chairperson with 2,692 votes while the party's another candidate Karmati Gharti has acquired vice-chairperson post with 2,079 votes.

Likewise, Mayor Singh Paija of UML has been elected to the chairperson of Badigadh Rural Municipality while Nepali Congress candidate Ammar Bahadur Shrish has secured victory for vice-chairperson.

Until now, NC has won the election in three rural municipalities, UML in three, and CPN MC and Rastriya Janamorcha one each in total 10 local levels in the district.

Meanwhile, Vote counting is underway in Baglung and Jaimini municipalities. UML is taking lead in Baglung municipality while NC is ahead in Jaimini.
