Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Shalikram Jamkattel is preparing to seek a vote of confidence in the Province Assembly on July 21.
Chief Minister Jamkattel has written a letter to the Province Assembly Secretariat seeking the vote of confidence.
CPN (Maoist Centre)'s chief whip of Bagmati province assembly Ratna Prasad Dhakal informed chief minister Jamkattel has decided to seek the vote of confidence on July 21 after discussions with the leaders of the ruling parties.
With the change in federal government, the province government has been reduced to a minority after five ministers from the CPN (UML) resigned from the province government on last July 8.
Speaker Bhuwan Kumar Pathak informed that preparations have been made to convene a meeting of the Province Assembly at 1:00 pm on July 21 for the process of taking vote of confidence.
Jamkattel, leader of the CPN (Maoist Centre), was sworn in as the Chief Minister earlier with support from the CPN (UML), Rastriya Prajatantra Party and CPN (Unified Socialist).
