BHIMDUTTANAGAR: Baitadi, the hilly district in the far west region, has been declared the first fully immunised district.

Altogether 10 districts in the country have been declared fully vaccinated including Baitadi-- the first in the Mahakali zone, Minister for Health and Population Khagaraj Adhikari made such announcement amidst a programme in the district on Sunday.

The plan to declare the fully immunised district was achieved after all the people in the district were vaccinated.

The campaign to declare the fully-immunised district was started from Nwali VDC some two years ago and completed after declaring Patan Municipality as the fully-immunised area, Chief of District Health Office, Dr Gunaraj Awasthi said.
