Bajura pharmacies sealed
Bajura, May 25
A team deployed from Department of Drug Administration, Nepalgunj, today sealed the illegally operating private medical shops at the district headquarter Martadi in Bajura.
The team said that they had sealed the pharmacies as the operators have not registered their shops and were operating them illegally.
Pharmacy Officer Prabin Timilsina, one of the members of the monitoring team, said that they had sealed Aarasi Medical and Khaptad Medical as they were found to be operating illegally. He said that the team had directed the operators to present themselves in the department with written clarification within 15 days.
It is said that Aarasi Medical was registered in the name of Senior Assistant Health Worker Ram Chandra Yadav of District Health Office, while Khaptad Medical was registered in the name of Suresh BK.
Amar Raj Joshi had invested money in Khaptad Medical. He is also its manager.
The team directed that Khaptad Medical be closed until the next directive. Further, the team also directed Joshi, BK or Yadav to present themselves with a written answer.
The department had monitored four medicals after a long time in the district. The team also seized date-expired medicines from the pharmacies.
