Bajura woman in immediate need of financial support for treatment

BAJURA: Lalsara Devi BK of Nawaghar in Budhiganga Municipality-5 of Bajura has been struggling for survival as she has no means to manage resources to finance her ailment.

The 41-year-old widow and a mother of two fell sick all of a sudden around a month ago and her family has been struggling to make ends meet ever since.

According to a local. Hikmat Thapa, her health is deteriorating with every passing day and attempts have been made to take Lalsara to the capital for treatment, but they haven't been able to collect sufficient funds to even cover the bus fare.

Lalsara's sister Lulakshi Luwar had recently taken her to Bayalpata Hospital in Achham district. She informed that the hospital referred Lalsara to Seti Provincial Hospital for further treatment. "However, due to lack of funds we returned home instead of taking her to Dhangadhi for treatment," Lulakshi lamented.

"We managed to take her to Bayalpata after taking loan from others but we don't have any means to take her to Dhangadhi. Her life is at risk for want of treatment," she expressed her fear.

Bayalpata Hospital has suspected that she might be suffering from an infection in her liver and abdomen and thus referred her to the Provincial Hospital for further treatment. "Neither have I any relatives to take me to Dhangadhi, nor do I have any money to go there," Lalsara cried as she shared her plight.

"We are slowing losing hope of our mother's recovery. We have appealed for financial support for her treatment," Lalsara's son Mangal said.

We don't have anything except a small house and nobody trusts us enough to provide us with loan, shared Lalsara.

Her two children have been struggling on a daily basis since their mother took ill.
