Bandh-enforcing Limbuwan cadres nabbed

JHAPA: Police here have arrested seven cadres of the Limbuwan National Revolutionary Party for attempting to bring the vehicular traffic to a grinding halt as part of the bandh the party enforced today.

Police arrested them from Butabari in Jhapa today afternoon, according to Sanjaya Bahadur Raut, the District Superintendent of Police (DSP) at Area Police Office, Birtamod.

The Limbuwan Party has called for a general shutdown today, demanding nine districts to the east of Arun River in the Eastern region be named and demarcated as the Limbuwan province.
