The number of people visiting historically significant Bandipur in Tanahun has increased of late.

Bandipur Tourism Development Committee said that number of domestic visitors had increased. Committee Chairman Kishan Pradhan said with the Nepali New Year approaching, the visitors' number had gone up. More than 200 tourists visit Bandipur in a day on an average. Bandipur is attracting more tourists every year," said committee former chairman Baish Gurung.

Mini great wall, cycle lane, South Asia's largest Siddha Cave, Ramkot, homestay, Sundhara, Dharapani, Hilekharka, Khadkamai temple and paragliding over Gurungche Danda are the major attractions in Bandipur.

Over 200 hotels are in operation in Bandipur. Keeping in view the New Year, hotels have announced discount up to 15 per cent.

Bandipur Tourism Development Committee Chair Pradhan said they had not introduced new schemes keeping in view the COV- ID-19 risk. Under construction cable car and 15-storey star hotel have added to Bandipur's attraction. Bandipur Rural Municipality Vicechair Karuna Gurung said the local level would proceed with various promotional programmes.
