INARUWA: Two Bangladeshi nationals, who were recently arrested in possession of Nepali citizenship certificates, were made public here in Inaruwa of Sunsari district on Tuesday.

According to the District Police Office, Aasan Miya aka Hyat Miya of Tyangyal and Sijarol Malik aka Shamsher of Pawana of Bangladesh were arrested on November 4.

Posing themselves as sons of local residents of Kusaha, the duo had acquired the Nepali citizenship by virtue of Nepali descent or blood, according to DSP Binod Ghimire of the DPO.

They are being investigated for forgery of citizenship certificate, police added.
