NEPALGUNJ: An woman was found dead at Kamdi VDC-9 in Banke on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as local Shanti Budha (25), informed SP Tek Prasad Rai of the Banke District Police Office.

According to police, Budha had gone out to buy medicines. It has been assumed that the she was raped and then murdered at 4 pm yesterday.

The body was found in a field at around 200 metres away from her home.

She is survived by two daughters, police added.

Police have arrested three persons for investigation.
