KALAIYA: News bulletins broadcast by Sanskar FM, run by Shanti Media Pvt Ltd in Kalaiya Municipality of Bara district, have been closed from Friday for an indefinite period.

Cadres associated with the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) had burnt the Sanskar Khabar newspaper published by the same organisation, citing that the radio and the paper aired greeting messages of the lawmakers associated with Nepali Congress and CPN-UML on the occasion of Dipawali and Chhath festivals.

Other programmes except the news bulletins are being broadcast regularly, said news editor of the FM, Rajesh Kushbaha.
