KATHMANDU, JUNE 30
Two individuals were arrested with 201 kilograms of illegal marijuana from Simraungadh Municipality-5 of Bara on Friday night.
According to police, the arrestees have been identified as Sujan Adhikari (22) of Nilkantha Municipality-8 and Ramesh Nepali (23) of Jwalamukhi Rural Municipality-1 in Dhading district.
Based on a special tip-off, the police team from the Area Police Office in Simraungadh raided the house belonging to Manoj Kumar Sah in Thulo Ittawal and arrested them along with the marijuana packaged in 16 packets and hidden in the house.
Additionally, the police also seized a pickup truck (Bagmati Province 01-029 Cha 6752), which was allegedly used for transporting the drugs. Adhikari is the driver of the pickup while Nepali is the driver's assistant.
The police are currently searching for the house owner Manoj, who is absconding.
