Bara youth injured following Cheetah encounter at east-west highway

BARA: A person has been injured after being attacked by a Cheetah at the Pathlaiya-Amlekhgunj road section along the East-West highway, on Saturday morning.

The injured has been identified as Munna Pandey, 20, of Bishrampur Rural Municipality-1 of Bara district.

Pandey was on his motorcycle, headed towards Hetauda. On his way, he encountered a Cheetah on the highway while crossing the section along Parsa National Park.

It has been learned that consequential to the attack, the youth has sustained injuries on his eyes and hands. Currently, he is reported to be in sound health, confirmed assistant Officer of the Parsa National park conservation association.

Previously, a tiger had died after being hit by a car on the road-section. Reports of animal sightings and related incidents have increased in recent times in the area.
